Mental Health Week 2026: Reflecting on a Week of Connection, Learning, and Wellbeing

The Raffles University Psychological Wellness Centre (RUPC) recently brought together our university community for Mental Health Week 2026, which ran from 5 to 9 October 2026. Built around the reassuring message that “Some days feel tangled. You don’t have to untangle them alone,” the week was dedicated to fostering meaningful dialogue, promoting self-care, and breaking down the stigma surrounding mental health across campus. Throughout the five days, staff and students actively engaged in a diverse array of interactive sessions, insightful talks, and creative expression designed to nourish both mind and spirit.

The week kicked off on Monday, 5th October, with participants dropping by the Psychology Lab for the RUPC Pixel Quest, while others began contributing their creative touches to the ongoing interactive Wall Art expression outside Academic Room 10. On Tuesday, 6th October, the Atrium served as an engaging venue for an impactful presentation on Abnormal Psychology, complemented by another lively session at the collaborative Wall Art station.

Midway through the campaign on Wednesday, 7th October, the campus was buzzing with activity. Attendees explored interactive Game Booths in the Psychology Lab during the morning, while the afternoon saw participants gather in Rooms G1 and G2 for the highlight hands-on session, the Moru Doll × Wheel of Life Workshop, alongside the daily Wall Art creation. The momentum continued on Thursday, 8th October, as attendees joined an insightful talk titled Myths, Misconceptions & the Psychology Behind Mental Health in Room 3-3, which generated thoughtful discussions on psychological wellbeing alongside the afternoon Wall Art gathering.

The week concluded on Friday, 9th October, with two compelling academic showcases held in the Atrium: a morning presentation on the Psychology of Design & Human Factors, followed by an afternoon session examining Historical Perspectives of Psychology. Between the presentations, participants gathered one final time at the Wall Art station to complete the week’s shared masterpiece. RUPC extends a heartfelt thank you to all staff and students who took part, shared their experiences, and helped build a compassionate campus culture that continues to prioritise mental health every day.
