Promoting Healthy Digital Habits Among Students | Screen Time Wellness Talk

On 17 April 2026, our Wellness Coach, Dr Shubashini, had the privilege of engaging with students at New Bridge International School in an interactive student wellness talk focused on developing a healthier and more intentional relationship with screens and social media. The session formed part of our ongoing commitment to promoting psychological wellbeing and digital awareness among young people in an increasingly connected world.

Practical Strategies for Everyday Digital Balance

In an age where digital platforms play a central role in communication, learning, and entertainment, the talk provided a safe and reflective space for students to explore their own screen time habits and experiences online. Through open discussion and guided activities, students were encouraged to consider how excessive screen time affects their mood, focus, sleep, and relationships. Rather than presenting strict rules, the session emphasised balance, self-awareness, and the importance of making mindful digital choices in daily use.

Dr Shubashini also shared practical screen time strategies to help students build healthier routines, such as setting appropriate screen time limits, being mindful of device usage, and prioritising meaningful offline activities. Students responded enthusiastically, actively participating and sharing their own insights and challenges, making the session highly engaging and interactive.

A Meaningful Step Toward Student Mental Health and Resilience

We believe that nurturing emotional awareness and healthy digital habits from an early age is essential in supporting lifelong psychological wellbeing. As technology continues to evolve, empowering young individuals with the tools to engage with it thoughtfully, a practice often called digital literacy, becomes increasingly important.

We are grateful for the opportunity to spark these meaningful conversations at New Bridge International School and to support students as they grow into balanced, resilient, and self-aware individuals in both their online and offline lives.
