Why Student Wellbeing and Resilience Matter in University Life
University life is a period of growth, discovery, and opportunity. Alongside academic responsibilities, students often navigate new environments, changing relationships, and important decisions about their future.
These experiences can be exciting, but they can also be challenging. As a result, student wellbeing and resilience have become increasingly important aspects of the university experience.
Supporting Wellbeing through RUPC
At Raffles University, student wellbeing is supported through the Raffles University Psychological Wellness Centre (RUPC), which provides professional psychological services, counselling, assessments, and wellbeing-focused programmes.
Beyond serving the wider community, RUPC also plays an active role in supporting students through workshops, educational activities, and initiatives that promote resilience, self-awareness, and emotional wellbeing.
By connecting professional psychological practice with student development, RUPC contributes to a learning environment that supports both academic success and personal growth.
Building Resilience through Learning and Support
As part of its student wellbeing initiatives, RUPC is organising “BOUNCING BACK: Building Resilience in University Life”, a workshop designed to help students better understand resilience and develop practical strategies for navigating challenges.
Facilitated by Dr Shubashini, the session will feature engaging activities, guided discussions, and practical resources to help participants adapt to change, overcome setbacks, and build confidence throughout their university journey.
The workshop reflects RUPC’s ongoing commitment to supporting students not only through professional services, but also through proactive wellbeing programmes that encourage personal development and lifelong resilience.
